Brian Mazzucco is a Filipino born, American raised designer based in New Jersey. He holds an associate’s degree in visual communication and will receive a BA in graphic design from Rutgers Camden in the Fall of 2020. Brian has gained professional experience in print production and vinyl floor wrapping while working at Shout! Graphic and Print Solutions in Flemington, New Jersey. Brian also balances a freelance practice simultaneously. Using his skills obtained through his education, Brian creates designs that utilize logic, reasoning, and compassion. Brian hopes to work for non-profits organizations and help them find their identity and visual voice.
I work primarily in print creating packaging, posters, magazines, books, book covers, and branding material. My work centers around identity–broken down into three categories: duality, history, and sexuality. As a gay, transracial Filipino-American in white, heteronormative America, these three aspects of identity are the foundation of my self-initiated graphic works. Through exploring these concepts, I hope to start a dialogue between me and the viewer, gaining a greater perspective of myself.
