Statement
What is my purpose? This is a question everyone asks themselves at least once in their life and some never get an answer to it. I got my answer when I was just six years old… give or take a year or two, I was put on this Earth to create things. As long as I can recall I have had a drive to write, to draw, to make and design. Constantly writing new stories and drawing new characters or some other wild creature that sprung from my imagination and somehow defies all real world physics yet makes sense in the world I have created.
My thesis is an extension of those pursuits. It is an animation set in a larger world that I am still in the process of building. The piece is a part of a much bigger story that is only one narrative within the confines of this setting. This animation and to a larger extent all my works have some sort of story behind them. Almost every character I draw or scene I model has a narrative tapestry woven around it.
Being an artist isn’t just a hobby to me but a way of being, my art influences the way I think and the way I think influences my art. It is the most pure expression of individualism in the history of the world. Anyone who sees my work gets a glimpse at who I am. Artists are blessed to be able to share their stories in this way to bridge the gap between continents and the passing of time. To those that have helped me along the way and to the vast and beautiful world that gifted me life and the promise of endless possibilities know that you have my profound gratitude.
Onward, Forward.
