Charles Baliban is a writer, filmmaker and actor who will graduate from Rutgers-Camden in May, 2026 with his B.A. in English and minors in Film, Theater Arts and Writing. During his time at Rutgers-Camden, Charles has been a regular participant in the arts, acting in four VMPA theater productions, directing the Advanced Video & Film Production Class’ fiction film Loose Threads (2025) and writing the non-fiction documentary VOCES de la Comunidad (2025), and penning multiple short stories. Charles is also the winner of the Rutgers-Camden Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking Award. After graduating, he will attend Loyola-Marymount University’s M.F.A. program in Film and Television Production. Charles plans on becoming a writer-director, serving as the major creative force behind his own feature fiction films.
