Artist Statement

Collectively, my artwork as a whole is in multitudes of media, with my main focus being in the field of digital media. I use art forms such as video, sound, and image manipulation to convey a specific conceptual idea. My work aims to bring the viewer into a sense of surreality through disorientation, recontextualization, and subverting expectation. It also urges the viewer to take a critical eye to their perspective on the life that occurs around them. What nuances happen in the world when you are less individually focused and observe your surroundings? What happenings exist outside the confines of your own mind? My work explores this idea through these various forms of digital media; through ambiguous concepts left up to the interpretation of the audience.
