Biography
Lisa Huynh is a Vietnamese American graphic designer from Sicklerville, New Jersey. She attended Timber Creek Regional High School before continuing her education at Rutgers University–Camden where she received her BA in graphic design and minor in marketing. During her time in school, she worked in the VMPA Print Lab, starting out as a junior designer and working her way up to becoming a manager. She has been consistently involved in the design community running the AIGA Student Chapter at RUC as Vice President, where she invites contemporary designers to organize workshops and events, leads bi–weekly meetings, and volunteers for AIGA Philadelphia events. Lisa graduates from Rutgers in the Spring of 2021 and is looking forward to furthering her design career.
Statement
Lisa Huynh’s works fall in between the intersection of environment and time—taking inspiration from past, present, and future. She aims to create sustainable designs that evoke emotion while making people question their actions. She is interested in many avenues of design including editorial, product, packaging, and typography. In her capstone project, she explores the concept of Fluidity and Space in hopes to understand how the world can be designed more fluidly and in turn create impactful designers.
