Artist Statement

enjoy animation because of the stories that can be told using visual effects, in 2D or 3D animation. Imagining a story or idea and bringing it to life by creating a world that can capture the attention of your audience, to get lost in a world just for a moment from everyday tasks is what I enjoy creating.

My 2D Chet the Mouse is a character who loves cheddar cheese. I have created a few stories about his adventures with his friends. Cart Guy is a character who works at a grocery store. It’s about an ordinary, familiar place and the grievances of putting carts away at a grocery store. I wrote, created the story and characters. I used AI tools such as Sora, ChatGPT, TripoAi, Autodesk Flowstudio, and Gemini in creating the scenes. It took over 200+ images to create animated video clips that would give a complete story while telling about the chaos of working at a grocery store. The challenge was could I create an entire animation using clips and how can I make the images consistent. Though there are many inconsistences the challenges I faced were rewarding.

I used these programs in creating these stories and characters: Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc. My goal is to create stories that the audience can connect with and recognize. Creating humor as an everyday task or experience is what I aim to achieve.
