Biography
My name is Roger Buck, and I’m a Character designer, artist, and animator that loves and appreciates the craft. I dedicate my time to design characters that range from colorful monsters to elegant magic users with mystical powers.
I have a fascination toward anime-style illustrations, which can be simply shortened to “Illust.” I strive to create art, and designs that look like the illust I’ve always admired, not only because it appeals to me, but because I would like to aim for the same heights as the artist that create illust works.
Statement
“BATTLE BUDDIES” is a parody of the “Pokémon” style of monster battle genre that follows to story of Lily, a trainer that want to be the best in the world with her part dog, part dinosaur partner Jirapup. She keeps losing to her self-proclaimed Rival named Laura, and she fails all the time. On a particularly bad day, she signs up the “BB League Trial Challenge” hoping to turn things around. Will she be able to turn things around? Or will she find something else?
