Statement

Ever since I was a child, I’ve always been drawing and it’s become second nature to me, like breathing. Art is my life and it’s a part of who I am, and the meaning of my own life is to create for as long as I draw my breath. I love to draw and I’ve had a passion for it for my whole life, especially drawing characters. My artist piece is a culmination of what I want in my life, what my goal is when I get the chance to make my own story and inspire others to make art themselves. It may sound egotistical but my dream is to see others make art based off of my own stories and creations. My art is a stepping stone, a mark of progress, a linear progression of achievements to the final results of what I have at the end of my life. Art is a constant factor in which you can never stop improving and never stop learning, seeing different perspectives whether good, bad, disagreeable, uncomfortable, and as much as the human mind can comprehend. I’m happy to be privileged enough and with a supportive family, community, friend group, and be granted the resources in order to achieve what I have done thus far. I only regret not putting as much effort into some other parts of my life but we all need to keep moving forward. Thank you to whoever sees and appreciates the work I have put out, I make my art out of love for others and enjoyment of myself, even if it is a little narcissistic to say.
